The vine-growing history of Szárazhegy goes back to the 1700s, when the area was in the ownership of the Chapter of Eger. Today the total area cultivated by Kerbor LLC is 600 hectares, of which 300 hectares are covered with vineyards. The company grows a wide variety of grapes, using organic methods for the past four years, which are transformed into a colorful selection of wines.
Besides international varieties, such as Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Rhein Riesling, Cabernet Franc, and Cabernet Sauvignon, Kerbor LLC also produces a number of Hungarian varieties, e.g. Karát, Generosa, Rozália, Kövér Szőlő, Magyar Riesling, Kadarka, Kékfrankos, and Duna Gyöngye, which go especially well with the meals made here with the meat of own-bred animals: Hungarian Gray Cattle, Mangalitsa, or Racka Sheep.
After a nice meal and a treat of good wines take a short walk around the Kerbor Eco Farm of native Hungarian animals or go for a horse ride on one of the Kisbér half breeds from Kerbor’s stables.
László Tóth and his family look forward to give you a warm welcome!
